Velada is a municipality located in the province of Toledo, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. According to the 2006 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 2,436 inhabitants.ToponymyThe primitive population of this term was Atalayuelas. The relation of 1578 says that the name is changed towards 1278 but there are two Evenings, the first of which remains remains in the middle of the sixteenth century and the modern population that was founded around the middle of the fifteenth century.
