The Blue Marlin Seafood Restaurant is owned and run by husband and wife team Alison and Steve Hyatt. It is situated in the heart of the urbanisation of Torrenueva, just 400 meters from El Bombo beach and a beautiful 15 minute stroll along the Paseo Maritimo from La Cala. We opened the restaurant in May 2015 after relocating from Dundee in Scotland.

Steve has been a chef for many years having started his career on the Queen Elizabeth II luxury liner as a Cunard apprentice, from there he has worked in some of the best hotels around the world. Some of his achievements include being the first British chef to be awarded The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs award in South Africa and as Executive Chef at The Randolf Hotel, Oxford gaining 3 AA Rosettes. My vocation has been customer focused in hotels and restaurants in various roles ensuring customers feel relaxed and contented by delivering quality service with attention to detail. As a couple we have had the pleasure of working together for the last 28 years. We started at The Lock & Quay at Hythe, Southampton then moved to run The Isle of Gigha Hotel on the West of Scotland in 1993 we took on The Shower of Herring Inn on Loch Melfort where we spent 9 great years and then relocated to Dundee on the East coast where we spent 9 year of running The Blue Marlin, 6 years in Monifieth and 3 years in Dundee city centre. We love making people happy by providing great food, in comfort with friendly service.

Our aim is to ensure that our fantastic team focus on providing you with an enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Our menu reflects the influences of Steve’s travels, classical training and the wonderful Spanish produce. Our wine list is 90% Spanish and reflects the diversity and superb quality of the new innovative wine makers of Spain. We hope you enjoy.
