The office is led by Ricardo Bofill and two partners - Peter Hodgkinson and Jean-Pierre Carniaux– and employs a staff of around 60 people from over of 20 countries. El Taller comprised of a multidisciplinary cohesive team made of urban planners, architects, engineers, landscape, interior, graphic and industrial designers.
Ricardo Bofill – Taller de Arquitectura's contribution is essential to the development of a new "integrated urbanism." El Taller aspires to create public spaces, in which a truly social life can exist. it recognizes the need to give social settlements a clear, imaginable definition.
The practice has had the opportunity to demonstrate its competence through the completion of large- scale transportation infrastructure, public facilities, office buildings, such as the headquarters of leading companies, five-star hotels, housing and retail projects.
Housing is an area intensively studied by the Taller de Arquitectura. The team has carried out both luxury and social housing projects ( of more than 1,000,000 units) throughout the world.
