Quiet Residential Location

The outgoing tenants are returning to UK after 5 years of sun and relaxation, and are happy to speak to potential new tenants.

The villa has upgraded electric supply using green energy from the local electricity company. It has also had a larger water boiler installed which is a must when you have visitors.

The local community President and Vice President are British and very helpful and friendly will be happy to offer assistance with things like registering a car for ITV (Road Tax) setting up WiFi etc etc. And of course we will help you get settled in also.

The villa is served by Alicante and Murcia Airports and both have multiple airlines offering regular flights to many UK airports.


What awaits you?

• Firstly you don’t need to speak fluent Spanish. It is courteous to be able to say please and thank you but if that is all you can do at first that will be fine. All the banks, supermarkets garages utility companies have English speaking staff and in many cases they employ Brits specifically to help their British customers. That said you will quickly find yourself wanting to learn more of the local lingo.

• The Costa Blanca offers you of more than 320 days of sunshine a year, where temperatures can reach 90° plus.

• Every day of the week you will find a market close by, in fact the Friday street market held in Torrevieja is one of the largest in the whole of Spain. The Saturday market is within walking distance and great for fresh produce and cooked meats, the cooked chickens are a god send, just add some salad and fresh bread and you have a couple of days main meals.

• Living on the Costa Blanca is surprisingly inexpensive even now! You will find your weekly shop 25% - 50% cheaper than in Britain. Soft furnishings can be a little more expensive than here in the UK, but other than that Spain is generally cheaper.

• A large shopping centre has recently opened close to the villa where you can buy everything from kitchenware to clothing. This is also within walking distance but has a large carpark if you wish to drive.

• Eating out is also easy on the wallet, expect to pay around a £10 a head including wine, beer or a soft drink. Not all restaurants offer this deal but you will quickly learn the good ones that are cheap from the local resident around the villa that we can introduce you to.

• The gently shelving sandy beaches and coves are beautiful, relaxing, and almost all of them have Blue Flag awards.

• As you will undoubtedly have family wanting to visit you will find great attractions such as the Aqua Parks in Torrevieja 5 miles from the villa so just a short drive away and provides great family day out not to mention a fun way to cool down in the sunshine.

• Within an hour or so of the villa, towards Benidorm, you will find the famous Universal Studios and Terra Mitica theme parks, always popular with children and adults alike, and again a great day out when the family visit you in your Spanish home from home.

• Golfers Can choose from many top standard golf courses all within a few minutes drive from the villa and with La Manga Resort just 1 hours drive away.

• Interested in Green bowls? The area around our villa has a thriving bowls community with all clubs offering great social occasions for recreational players, and some are part of a competitive local league if you fancy a friendly challenge.

• The area of the Costa Blanca immediately surrounding our properties has been designated by the World Health Organisation as one of the healthiest areas on earth. So for those suffering from Arthritis or Respiratory issues that this area is recognised as being very beneficial.

The Costa Blanca is just over 2 hours filght away on the eastern coast of Spain. Boasting over 320 days of sunshine per year; average summer temperatures of over 90°; budget airlines like Ryan Air (Murcia) and Easyjet (Alicante) providing regular services and the cheap bars, restaurants and supermarkets, the Costa Blanca is a FANTASTIC place to visit on a family holiday of golf break.

The exceptional climate allows outdoor activities all year round such as golf, bowls and tennis along with most water sports.

The wonderful winter climate with lowest average temperature of 15c, together with 320 days of sunshine each year, combined with the famous Mediterranean diet of fresh meat, fish, vegetables, fruit and wine go towards making it one of the healthiest places in Europe.

Cabo Roig (Our Villa)
Cabo Roig is characterised by broad palm lined avenues and landscaped gardens. Famous for its marina and coved beach. The Maritime Walk, which follows the peninsular coastline, takes you to some of the finest sandy beaches on the Costa Blanca.

Cabo Roig itself is just a few minutes drive from the superb Villamartin golf complex. Back at the picturesque marina there are excellent restaurants near to the historic watchtower and the town which also boasts top class bars and nightlife. With access to the south and Torrevieja, it has fast emerged as the "ideal" destination for holiday makers while retaining peace and quiet combined with quality of living.

Villamartin (Sol Golf 27 & Sol Golf 28)
Villamartin, approximately 3km from the sea and 10km south of Torrvieja, has developed rapidly into an area that is popular with holiday makers and golfers alike. Just 10 mins drive to the beach and with access roads to the motorway, the emphasis here is on location. The Villamartin Plaza itself is a gourmet's delight with 28 bars and restaurants catering for all tastes. Also on hand are a supermarket, pharmacy, golf shop, boutique and banks.

Villamartin has many gardens, community pools and sports facililties including Tennis 10 Pin Bowling and of coursegolf. Properties here are of excellent quality with marble floors and bathrooms as a rule.

Villamartin is probably one of the best known Golf Courses in the Southern Costa Blanca. Since 1972 villas, townhouses and apartments were built around the Golf Course.

The golfer does not need to restrict themselves because there are 2 other Courses near by such as Las Ramblas and Campoamor.

Villamartin has an international community, living permanentely in Spain or simple visiting for the Golf Season. Not all inhabitants of Villamartin are golf fanatics, but one can simple enjoy gazing over the splendid green areas or spend the day on one of the splendid beaches of La Zenia, Campoamor , and Cabo Roig that are all only approximately 10 minutes from Villamartin.

San Miguel de Salinas (Paraiso II)
San Miguel de Salinas is a typical village in the Southern Costa Blanca and lies approximately 7km inland at the same height with the coastal town of Torrevieja.

San Miguel has all the charm of a traditional Spanish village but with all the amenities and services that families on holiday will need, such as shops, restaurants, bars, tennis, swimming pool, football, fishing golf and much more.

From some vantage points around the town there are magnificent views of the beautiful Salt Lakes or Salinas.

From San Miguel one can reach the 3 golf courses of Campoamor, Villamartin, and Las Ramblas within 10 minutes.

The nearest beach to San Miguel is approximately a 10 minute drive.
Alicante
Alicante is a busy, bustling seaside city, with the backdrop of the marvelous castle of Santa Barbara perched on a mountain looming over and protecting the city and its bay. The provincial capital, Alicante, is a mix of ancient and modern that combines to make an elegant and beautiful city whilst retaining the traditions and buildings of this important harbour and centre of trade. Its old narrow streets are full of charm and history making it an extremely popular place to buy property in Spain.

Alicante has everything that one would expect of a large busy city but one thing that it has is an abundance of style - from the stepped streets and delightful plazas of the old town to the chic street cafes and the modern department stores of the new. There is a beautiful esplanade which separates the port from the city and is delightful for a daytime or evening stroll.

The port of Alicante is home to fisherman and a large nautical fraternity, often the stop-over point for cruise liners. It is within fifteen minutes of the international airport of El Altet and offers ferry services to the Balearic Islands and North Africa.

Campoamor
The Royal Club De Golf is the highlight for any golfer or holiday-maker. The breathtaking views towards the sea and fine cuisine are combined with a close proximity to the busy coastal road. It also boasts a marina and fine beaches.

Elche
The Spanish city of Elche is famous for its centuries old palm groves and its wonderful beaches. It has the international airport of El Altet within its municipal boundaries and is home to a large thriving shoe manufacturing industry.

Elche’s origins date back through thousands of years and several civilisations that have left their own mark. Iberians, Phoenicians, Romans and Moors have all left vestiges in an ancient yet modern city full of good restaurants, busy shopping plazas and a rich cultural life. Elche was originally an ancient Roman settlement and approximately half the city's surface is dedicated to palm tree parks, which has now been officially recognised as a world heritage site. The Palmeral is an oasis-like landscape of date palms. It was constructed during the Arab occupation of this area in Spain over 1000 years ago. UNESCO has added the Palmeral of Elche to the list on cultural grounds, as an unique example of Arab agricultural practices on the European continent.

Guardamar
Located just North of Torrevieja, amid the sand dunes and palm trees with its proximity to the Mediteranean and La Mata salt lakes make this paradise on the Costa Blanca. With many bicycle and foot trails around the lake, this area appeals to those who want a high quality of life in amazing surroundings.
The town of Guardamar, with a population of just over 11,000, has historically played the role of guardian of the river Segura. Around 12 km of beach; pines; very old trees; a Mediterranean park with fountains and lakes that give life to squirrels, swans, fishes…Guardamar’s strategic position on a hill over the Vega Baja made it the ideal settlement for the various peoples that inhabited this part of Spain.

The Mar Menor
The unique peninsula of La Manga divides the Mediterranean from the shallow waters of large inland lagoon, the Mar Menor. The warm watered Mar Menor, teeming with all types of fish and shellfish, is situated close to the prestigious La Manga Golf complex.
This is a privileged spot with a healthy climate and many small typical Spanish villages.Because it is between two seas – the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean – La Manga is ideal for every type of nautical sport in its marinas, with classes given to beginners and advanced levels – swimming, sailing, wind surfing, etc. A visit to the mud baths is a must. San Javier airport is also on the western shore.

The Mar Menor is the largest saltwater lagoon in Europe, covering a surface of 170sq.m. and having a maximum depth of only 7 metres. This area boasts mild winters, very low annual rainfall and over 3000 hours of sunshine each year, giving the region a very dry atmosphere all year round. The waters themselves have very high therapeutic qualities and together with the climatic conditions have produced large deposits of mud and clay. These muddy deposits are believed by many to contain natural healing properties, particularly for many skin complaints. They also possess anti-inflammatory properties important for the treatment of rheumatism, arthritis and bone fractures.

La Manga
La Manga is home to an incredible world class golf complex and has world class training facilities, which attracts many famous celebrities and international soccer teams from all over Europe. Here there is a green haven where it is possible to play tennis or bowls, even horse-riding, in fact there is an opportunity to develop your skills in many sports. Many international entertainers have performed in the five star hotel or in the casino.

As property prices on the Orihuela Costa have risen in recent years, many people are seeking lower priced property in this area.

La Marina
Only 15 minutes from Alicante airport the town of La Marina has a mixture of Spanish charm with an international flavour. The beautiful long sandy beaches are a must see. This town is popular with those who desire a healthy mixture of sun and outdoor healthy pursuits.

La Zenia
The La Zenia roundabout and nearby La Zenia hotel has become famous as a link point for the amazing sandy beaches to the south, the golf clubs to the north and as a centre point for restaurants and bars. A walk around the houses of La Zenia makes one stare in amazement. The famous walk from La Zenia to Cabo Roig along the coast cannot be missed. Our offices are located just off the La Zenia roundabout.

Moraira
Moraira, situated in a picturesque bay, has grown from a small fishing village to a pretty holiday resort with considerable charm.
Moraira has a large well equipped marina and yacht club, with excellent moorings.
There is a large open market every Friday morning and in the summer evenings market stalls line the streets selling local arts and crafts.

With many excellent shops, and several large supermarkets selling English foods, Moraira is a flourishing shopping centre.

Moraira has many bars and superb restaurants offering good Spanish food, and international cuisine from all over the world, including France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Greece, India, China, Japan and Britain.
Moraira has four excellent local beaches, ideal for snorkelling, windsurfing, scuba diving, jet-skiing or just sunbathing.

Two gently shelving beaches have been awarded the prestigious EEC Blue Flags for cleanliness, along with another 32 beaches throughout the Costa Blanca - far more than any other Costa in Spain.

The beach at El Portet is at the end of a sheltered shell-shaped bay, and is quiet with clear water and a gently sloping seabed.
The main beach in the town (shown above), is called L'Ampolla, and is large and sandy with a childrens play area, bars and restaurants.
Platgetes is quieter and with both sand and rock. L'Andrago is a boulder beach, ideal for snorkelling. Beyond the town there are many secluded bays and coves worth exploring.

Moraira is beautifully situated in a pretty bay, surrounded by hills and mountains. There are no high-rise hotels or apartment blocks due to very strict planning controls.
The lush green rolling hills are dotted with luxury villas and small holiday complexes set amongst pine woods, vine terraces and olive groves.
Moraira and the surrounding hills are popular areas for discerning individuals who prefer independent vacations and for the owners of the many exclusive holiday villas.
Moraira is a one hour drive from Alicante airport and about one and a half hours from Valencia. Road connections are very good. There are local buses, a rail service from Teulada to Valencia and Benidorm, and many taxi companies.

Moraira people are friendly and helpful to tourists. English is widely spoken, and even though many Spanish love to practice their English on you, they will appreciate your attempts to speak Spanish!

The area boasts several golf courses within easy reach, and other leisure facilities include tennis, squash, football, boat hire and trips, horse riding, go-kart racing and several good night clubs.

Just forty minutes drive from Moraira is the lively resort of Benidorm and Terra Mitica, the internationally acclaimed theme park.

Murcia
Set in what is known as the “breadbasket of Europe” in a fertile plain watered by the River Segura, is the historical city of Murcia. Murcia is a city rich in cultural achievements, full of magnificent architectural pearls such as the baroque-rococo cathedral. Murcia straddles the river and is a prime example of good city planning with many gardens and plazas full of restaurants where one can enjoy a quick snack or a good leisurely meal making it a great place to buy a house or villa. A university city, it is full of libraries and museums that describe the city’s long past.

From a tourist point of view, Murcia itself offer you a huge amount of interesting places to visit as the history of the city goes back to the years 800 where it was originally founded as part of Cordoba. Certainly amongst the famous visiting points for any traveller is the Cathedral de Santa Maria. Finished in the 15th century the cathedral is the most impressive monument of Murcia. Located at the plaza del Cardinal Belluga, the Cathedral de Santa Maria has got different entrances, all of them on their own a treasure. The main entrance, called puerta del perdon, the north door, portada de las cadenas and the portada de los apostoles lead you into the impressive capilla mayor decorated with lots of gold.

Right outside the Cathedral you will find the city hall and the Palacia Episcopal, the residency of the Bishop of Murcia. When you first visit the city you will be overwhelmed by the amount of decorative buildings along the streets. There are several of museums, from the archaeological to the museum for water systems, to the museo de bellas Artes which shows art from Ballester and Gaya amongst others.

Orihuela
The inland town of Orihuela has been a settlement of several civilisations that have left their mark on this city, whose lands are fruitful because of the River Segura that flows through it. The centre is full of truly beautiful works of architecture, not just churches and public buildings, but houses of past nobility making it a wonderful Spanish town to buy a property. The city has its own historical sense and unforgettable legends that can be seen in the flamboyant annual processions of the Moors and Christians and the richness of other fiestas. The surrounding fertile lands and the closeness of the sea mean that the gastronomy of Orihuela offers the pleasures of the healthy Mediterranean diet. Many patisseries combine fiestas with gastronomy by providing traditional pastries and sweets that add a special flavour to life.

Torrevieja
The town of Torrevieja which get's its name from an old tower (old=vieja ; tower=torre), was first mentioned around 1800. It became famous in 1802, when it took over the salt administration from Orihuela. Apart of the salt industry, tourism and fishing keep the city alive.

Nestling between two large salt lakes and the Mediterranean, the former fishing village of has now grown to be the most important town in the area with impressive plans for further development of the infrastructure. It is ideally placed within 30/40 minutes of both Alicante and Murcia airports. Both airports are supplied by a wide range of cheap flights from many UK destinations throughout the year, and in recent years new motorways have made access to the town much easier.

Because of its location it has its own beautiful micro-climate it is renowned for its warm winters. The World Health Organisation considers it to be one of the healthiest places in the world, which has attracted people from all over Spain to buy property and enjoy the sun.

It has a cosmopolitan flavour that can be seen in the array of shops and services. Torrevieja has had many awards such as being among the top environmentally minded municipalities in Spain. The old town of Torrevieja has retained its character, with a lovely promenade, excellent marina and a wide range of restaurants.

There are numerous sandy beaches along its coastline, some close to town and others in quieter locations making Torrevieja an ideal place for holidays, winter stays or permanent residence.

Torrevieja has one of the largest open-air markets in Spain along its promenade, which comes alive from early evening and sells local arts, crafts, jewellery, leather goods and African carved art.

Torrevieja also boasts a lively nightlife with new bars and clubs springing up all of the time making Torrevieja attractive for all ages.

San Pedro Del Pinatar
At the top of the Mar Menor the historical fishing village of San Pedro has much to offer the discerning holiday maker. The famous Monday street market provides a gentler pace than others, with time to stop at a street-side.

Santa Pola
10km south of Alicante, Santa Pola sprawls around its harbour, the base of the local fishing fleet and haven to hundreds of pleasure vessels. The delights of Alicante are within close proximity whilst remaining removed from the hustle and bustle of the city.
