Oficina da Moura

Nesta época em que as raízes se esquecem e esmorecem, a Oficina da Moura vem, presente por entre as quelhas graníticas do Soajo, em pleno Parque Nacional, reviver a memória da terra, que aliada à água que das inúmeras nascentes brota e sublimada pelo fogo unificador, a imprime numa matriz cerâmica viva e plena de histórias: mouras encantadas e seus penedos; mochos, lobos e serpentes; urzes, azevinhos e vidoeiros; mitos, mariolas e estrelas que em tempos antigos guiaram pastores e gado por entre estas serras.

São estas impressões vivas que, feitas barro, presentes no espaço mas fora do tempo, a Moura vos traz, para que estas memórias de bruma passem a ser vossas também e reacendam o mesmo fogo que aqueceu e protegeu os nossos antepassados.

In these times where the roots faint and are forgotten, Oficina da Moura, amidst the granitic alleys of Soajo, inside the Peneda-Gerês national park, arrives to revive the memory of the earth which, together with the water that sprouts from the countless sources and sublimated by the unifying fire, prints it in a living ceramic matrix full of stories: enchanted "mouras" and their boulders; owls, wolfs and serpents; heathers, hollies and birches; myths, cairns and stars that in ancient times guided shepherds and cattle amongst these mountains.

These are the living impressions that, clay made, present in space but out of time the Moura brings to you, so that these mist memories become yours as well, and may revive the same fire that warmed and protected our ancestors.
