Here at Bellemaison, far from other tourist trodden areas of France, we offer the perfect backdrop for your artistic or yoga retreat. We invite some of the most talented plein air painters in the United States to teach as Artists in Residence. We also invite some of the most highly qualified yoga instructors to lead retreats in this idyllic alpine French setting. The house, gardens and the area lend themselves beautifully to having an authentic French experience - not so much as a tourist, but as a student of art or yoga who is able to gain entree into private homes and chateaux of friends of Bill and Sydney Patten. We guarantee you will feel a special affection for the village of Ore at the end of your stay.

Although our focus is primarily upon our Artistic and Yoga retreats led by qualified instructors, we welcome groups with no instructor to simply enjoy the magic of Bellemaison. The experience is basically the same: your meals are prepared, the wine is included, as are a number of varied activities in the area. Whether you are looking for artistic instruction, yogic discipline or just general wellness and tranquility, your destination is in sight.
