The Lighthouse Monumental La Serena is a Chilean lighthouse located at Avenida del Mar city of La Serena. The structure is characterized by the symbol of public recognition of the city, one of the most representative and popular tourist attractions in the area.ConstructionIt was built between 1950 and 1951 at the request of President Gabriel González Videla called Serena in the Plan. The work was designed by Ramiro Pérez Arce and directed by Jorge Tanks Larenas civil engineer.
