Finca El Refugio

We are a family owned Winery based on the integral management of the vineyard and the winery Finca El Refugio currently owns 50 ha of Organic vineyards with limited production of high quality red wines. Our winery is entitled to La Mancha Appellation of Origin and Tierra de Castilla Wines.
Our work philosophy is based on the satisfaction with job well done and we combine Spain and Europe's traditional way to make wine with the most modern technologies for wines elaboration and the introduction of new varieties with the firm intention of generating modern wines preserving all its essence. The ideal climatic conditions, with long harsh winters and warm summers, combined with shallow clay-calcareous soils yield grapes the produce wines which are incredibly concentrates and aromatic.
Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah, they are our vine stocks more ingrained than with the recent incorporation of Petit Verdot and Verdejo form a wide range of varieties that give, together with the climate and soil, complex and well-balanced wines of distinct character.
