Que es Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance fue inspirada originalmente por las danzas y rituales en la antiguedad de hace más de 30,000 años. Son las formas más antiguas de sanación y prácticas espirituales. Bajo la creación de Max Fathom en 2008 en la isla de Hawaii y luego acojido en California, desde entonces Ecstatic Dance se ha expandido por todo el mundo.
Ecstatic Dance (danza ecstática) es un encuentro para todas las personas que nos encanta bailar. Un viaje de movimiento y música donde podemos bailar para expresarnos, no para impresionar. Vamos tal como somos. Nos perdemos en la música, nos llenamos de vitalidad, sudamos y nos divertimos. Cuerpo, mente y espíritu se unen mientras nos encontramos con nuestro verdadero ser de forma libre.

What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance was originally inspired by the dances and rituals of antiquity, dating back to more than 30.000 years ago. They are the oldest forms of healing and spiritual practices. Max Fathom created Ecstatic Dance in 2008, on the island of Hawaii, and it continued on in California. Since then, Ecstatic Dance has spread worldwide.
Ecstatic Dance is a meeting place for all different kinds of people to gather together and who love to dance. A journey of movement and music where we can dance to express ourselves, not to impress. We come as we are. We get lost in the music, get filled with vitality, sweat and have fun. Body, mind and spirit come together while we get in touch with our true selves by the complete freedom of movement.

A bit about the members of Ecstatic Dance Vibrations, Sitges:

First and foremost, all 3 of us have been friends for quite a few years……our connection runs deep.
Organizer, presenter and promoter for Ecstatic Dance Sitges, Lesya Starr, (from Toronto, Canada) has been dancing since the age of 4. After 38 years of travelling through all kinds of dance experiences, teaching and training, she has arrived at a place where she has discovered that dance is meant for us to connect on a deeper level within ourselves, where the barriers of self-limiting beliefs can be explored, expressed and released. Where freedom of movement can take us on a delightful adventure as the energy of the dancing community lifts our spirits and takes us to places we could never imagine.
Lesya presently works in Barcelona and Sitges giving dance classes and workshops for Holistic Belly Dance, Mystical Persian Dance and Creative Woman’s Dance Flow.

Organizer, promoter and DJ for Ecstatic Dance Sitges, Robbie Musto (from Saint Albans, England) began DJing for the rave scene in 1989 in London, experiencing the joy and power that music brought to that community of dancing souls. Throughout the years he continued DJing in nightclubs in Brighton, and in Pacha, Sitges in 2009. After years of experiencing the night scene and the effects of it's decadency, Robbie decided to leave it behind him and ended his time as a DJ until he discovered and became enthralled with Ecstatic Dance. It gave him a wonderful opportunity to once again share the power that music offers us as a dancing community, only this time in a healthy and safe environment. Robbie spends much of his time searching for music and creating sonorous sessions for Ecstatic Dance in Sitges.

Organizer, promoter and graphic artist for Ecstatic Dance Sitges, Nana Bjørnlund (Copenhagen, Denmark) is a fervent Ecstatic dance-goer, and knowing about it’s benefits, she was the one to stir our emotions and get us going to create an Ecstatic Dance in Sitges. She does all of the graphics for us. She is also a photographer, animal-rights activist and freelance translator. She is a keen mover and shaker for Ecstatic Dance Sitges.
