A Model United Nations (MUN) is an authentic simulation of specific organs of the UN, committees or conferences as the General Assembly, the Security Council or the Human Rights Council. During the MUN, students play the role of ambassadors of the member states of the United Nations to discuss specific issues on the extensive agenda of the organization.
Among all the activities organized by UNA-Spain, there is one that has achieved a unique and almost autonomous dimension: the Catalonia Model United Nations (C'MUN), the conference Model United Nations of Barcelona.
Born on May 2005, C'MUN is the first MUN Conference in Spain. Gathering more than 400 participants from more than 80 universities and 50 nationalities in some editions, C'MUN attracts both participants with no experience and MUN veterans, giving beginners the opportunity to learn and discover, and to the experienced ones, to improve and share abilities, making debates intense and profitable.
