Celebration Crosswords

When my daughter and son in law got married last year they asked me to write them a wedding crossword. They felt that it would prove really popular and be something a little bit different. I agreed to do this but wanted to make sure that the crossword would be entertaining, humorous, look appealing and truly represent the wedding.I therefore based as many clues as possible on the happy couple, their history, their families, guests, the venue and anything else loosely connected with the wedding. I got the crosswords artistically printed on A4 card and on the day simply placed them in an ornate box {with pencils and rubbers provided} with a promise of a bottle of champagne for the first correctly completed crossword. The guests simply loved it, pouring over the clues during the afternoon with the drink and banter flowing. The winning team duly won their bottle of champagne and I placed the answers up later in the evening. It proved so popular that I finished up doing crosswords for two of the guests celebrating their birthdays later in the year and have continued with some further crosswords this year.
