Casa-Museo Pérez Galdós. Cabildo de Gran Canaria

La Casa-Museo Pérez Galdós es una entidad pública, creada y gestionada por el Cabildo de Gran Canaria a través del Servicio de Museos de la Consejería de Cultura, Patrimonio Histórico y Museos.

Su finalidad general es la de acercar a la sociedad actual la figura del escritor Benito Pérez Galdós (Las Palmas de G.C., 1843 - Madrid, 1920), enmarcado en su tiempo histórico y en los movimientos intelectuales, literarios y sociales de su tiempo. Todo ello mediante programas de investigación y difusión, y procedimientos de conservación y exhibición de sus colecciones.

Se articula en dos inmuebles: la casa natal del novelista, que contiene la exposición permanente; y el Centro de Estudios Galdosianos, dedicado a la biblioteca y archivo, salas multiusos para actividades, exposiciones temporales y talleres.

HORARIOS:

Lunes cerrado.
De martes a domingo y festivos: 10:00 - 18:00 h.

Cerrado los días 24, 25 y 31 de diciembre, 1 y 6 de enero, martes de carnaval y 1 de mayo.

The Casa-Museo Pérez Galdós is a public entity, created and directly managed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through the Museum Service of the Secretariat for Culture and Historical-Cultural Heritage.

As a public institution, the general aim of the museum is to make people familiar with the figure of Benito Pérez Galdós (Las Palmas de G.C., 1843 – Madrid, 1920), to contextualise him within his historical period and to see in what intellectual, literary and social circles he moved. The aim is to do through research and promotional programmes, while preserving and exhibiting his collections.

There are two separate buildings: the home where he was born, that houses the permanent exhibition, and the Centre of Galdós’ studies, devoted to the library and archives, the multi-use rooms for various activities, temporary exhibitions and workshops, together with the administrative services.

Tuesday to Sunday and other holidays: from 10 to 18 h.

Closed on Mondays and on the 24 th, 25th and 31st December, 1st and 6th of January, Carnival Tuesday and the 1st May.
