Capers Paradise – The name and back bone of the company was formed after a past fishing trip to sunny Gran Canaria we came stumbling across the famous Lake chira a hidden jewel of the Atlantic ocean, With the lake being set roughly 900 meters above sea level and its amazing scenery with breath taking views it was really drawing us in and giving the empathy felling there was really no where else like this in the world.

The lake oozes carp and plenty of rod bending action, 365 days a year not to mention the stamp of fish they are some of the most stunning looking carp we had ever set eyes on. The island itself offers the perfect carp fishing weather all year round, with glorious sunshine and an average temperature of high twenties, it really stands out as the ultimate carp fishing package holiday.

Gran Canaria is known for its stunning sandy beaches and spectacular landscapes making it appealing not just to the family any more but to the serious carp angler too. and this is how we decided to name it carpers paradise.

Lake Chira.
Our first venue we set up and made our mark with our 5 star service with 3 star prices after experiencing hands on that previous company’s operating on the venue, we decided to set our standards high from the off, and make sure we wasn’t like the previous company’s.
Carpers Paradise Gran Canaria has helped us develop to what we are as a company today.

Ideally, we didn’t want to stop at Gran Canaria, but we knew it was going to be a lot of man hours traveling the European circuit in search of other venues that we would fit under the Carpers Paradise name, so after viewing and testing many lakes in France and around Europe we was always looking for that something different to create an anglers dream holiday.

LA GOMERA

This is located on a tiny island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean just a short 40 minutes ferry crossing from the popular holiday destination of Tenerife. The lake is set 2000 meters above sea level in the mountains. This destination is for the true carp globe trotter due to its wild nature. The carp in this wild Jurassic venue are truly something of the past and are absolute crackers as you can see from the photos, after meeting with the guys that was dealing with the lake and its fishing rights it was safe to say it ticked all the boxes to add the second part of the puzzle to the Carpers Paradise Brand.

SLOVENIA

As for the third Venue this a 260 acre lake based in Slovenia part off the Eastern European circuit, an un heard of monster carp water. This is another amazing place. With stunning views that’s surrounded by green, green and more green with its abundance of pine trees , Slovenian style log cabins in the distance whilst you relax and catch carp on your holiday in the beauty and peace we have created.

We found this lake after traveling around Croatia and looking at many venues, but unfortunately most of them we came across didn’t have a catch and realise policy. After being introduced to Krisjian, who is part of a government for the local area he informed us of this venue and assured us that it had a catch and realise policy. Better still it had the potential to meet our high standards and was welcomed into the Carpers Paradise brand as another awesome venue.

Krisjian assured us we wont be disappointed after getting permission to be allowed to fish this once private harvesting lake. The excitement and adrenaline that we both felt was pumping to say the least, as we had heard it was full of big fish but with no real knowledge on the way to approach the water we opted to go for our normal European tactics, with big beds of bait being our feature as these are hungry wild carp. After our first fishing experience we was far from disappointed as we landed numerous fish with a very good head of them being 40lb+ commons with the biggest going over 50lb and that was only in a few days fishing. We can only describe these fish as immaculate pristine fish with the lake holding some absolute monsters up to 78lb+ so far.

MYTHS POOL FISHERY

We both felt that Carpers Paradise was really starting to form as an amazing brand with stunning venues around Europe. With both of us being based in Essex and still having the passion to catch fish from overseas and on our home soil we really wanted to be able to create a venue closer to home so we can get the buzz out of watching anglers catch the fish of there dreams. With this always in the back of our minds, we knew that we have got to start doing some research and looking around the Essex area for a potential Carpers Paradise UK venue. This wasn’t going to be easy but we don’t like to give up and are always looking to better ourselves in creating the ideal venue for anglers. After lots of hours driving and searching we managed to put the final piece in the puzzle with our newest venue which is based in the UK.

The lake is 2.7 acres in size, and is based in the heart of the Essex country side set in the most tranquil setting surrounded by nothing but trees and open fields. The lake holds a good head of fish ranging from doubles, twenties, 7 known 30s and 2 fish currently over 40lb, with the lake record known as the ‘Flower’ topping 43lb! People knew of the existence of the lake but no one knew its name or its where abouts. If anglers tried to research the lake on the net all roads lead to a dead end. People had opinions about the venue but not many knew the truth, and as so it was encompassed quite aptly and steeped with “Myths itself”. After lots of time and hard work we are now proud to add this to our Carpers Paradise brand as its now to a high standard that we hold. Taken in to account that joint owners Mitchell Whitehall and angling Guru and England International Angler and 8 times England Carp Team member Billy Flowers are above the Helm of one of the best premier brands in Europe catering for all types of anglers UK and abroad.
