Campobello

About 24 years ago, during a short career break, my late wife Irene and I bought the complex known as "Campobello" and moved to Jávea on Spain's Costa Blanca. Equidistant from Valencia and Alicante we were entirely innocent of the fact that we had chosen to come to live in the most outstanding place on Spain's east coast; indeed Jávea, known as The Dawn of Spain (for the rising sun strikes us first in the country) is unquestionably the most up-market resort between Barcelona and the Costa del Sol.
Sadly my dear wife passed away after a short illness in 2002. During her years here we had made many changes to the property. She loved Jávea passionately and was a great golfer.
I was subsequently joined by Lorna, former model, health service manager and JP (and avid gardener). It is now with much regret that we have made the decision to sell our beautiful home and business and retire.
It has been a great life and we have met many wonderful and interesting clients and friends.
The time has now come to hand over the thriving year-round business to someone else who will undoubtedly have new ideas for the development of Campobello. This is very much a blank canvas with the space and the potential to do whatever you wish in a delightful part of Spain with excellent administration at our Town Hall.

Much has been written about this area but suffice it to say that it is largely without hotels and package tours, has no high-rise buildings and enjoys a marvellous and benign climate. The area now boasts 6 Michelin stars placing us, in gastronomical terms, in close but third position to the Basque coast & Costa Brava. It lies in beautiful mountainous surroundings, equidistant from Alicante & Valencia airports (about 75 & 125km) and about 10km from the main European motorway network (AP7), and thus in tranquillity and without any through traffic.

Campobello is set in over an acre of splendid private gardens with pool, BBQ and dining areas (open and covered) and some magnificent palm trees. We are situate on the south side of Jávea bay in a quiet residential area on the tranquil pine covered slopes overlooking the bay. There is easy access (a 12-15 min. walk) to shops, beaches, sporting facilities and restaurants.

The Apartments

These five well furnished, centrally heated and air-conditioned apartments - each with separate entrance and consisting of 2 or 3 bedrooms offer peaceful locations for holidays whilst being near to the seaside facilities at the main sandy beach at Arenal where there are copious bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. We have a large off-street car park (invisible from the passing road).
Wi-Fi / ADSL broadband system is in operation (24/7).
The Villa
We live in a 3 bedroom villa with copious outdoor entertaining space which we make good use of for most of the year. Campobello's gardens have been used as the venue for numerous successful charity and social events over the years.

Airports: We are approximately equidistant from Alicante (75km) and Valencia (125km) airports (hire cars can be arranged ).
