Balearic Challenge

Founder of Balearic Yoga Lisa Shaw, has started the long training program in which the end result will see her swimming the 69km perimeter of Formentera Island, one of the 5 islands that make up the Baleares. As the first ever person to attempt this, the Balearic Challenge will consist of her swimming 23km per day over 3 consecutive days.
Why? you may ask and Lisa´s answer is simple...´I love open water swimming, I love the Baleares, and I want to raise awareness and money for charity´
The two charities Lisa has chosen to do the swim for are APNEEF an Ibiza and Formentera based charity helping support children and young adults with disabilities and learning difficulties through therapy and treatments, along with activities such a swimming, horse riding, activity weekends away, cinema and much more.
The other charity close to Lisa´s heart is her fathers charity ´The Mountain Way´ which focuses on ex-service men who are suffering the difficulties of PTSD. The Mountain Way offers a 60 day cycle which climaxes in an intensive 15 day one-to-one experience in the French Pyrenees in the summer, and Ibiza in the winter, also offering ongoing support for as long as required.
