APA NERJA - Estacion Esperanza

Básicamente una Protectora de Animales se rige por un principio claro y simple: el respeto a la dignidad del animal. Somos una asociación sin ánimo de lucro cuyo fin principal es la protección y defensa de los animales.
En APA Nerja - Estación Esperanza tenemos como principal objetivo el SACRIFICIO CERO en nuestra localidad, por ahora logrado gracias al esfuerzo y duro trabajo de todos nuestros socios y voluntarios.
NOS CENTRAMOS en el rescate de animales de la PERRERA Y CALLEJEROS, y por ello no atendemos casos de perros con dueño de forma general, si bien es cierto que hay casos especiales como Síndromes de Noé, desahucios, etc. que atendemos en la medida de nuestras posibilidades.
Ahora mismo estamos en un punto que no tenemos recursos económicos ni tampoco espacio para hacernos cargo de animales procedentes de “dueños irresponsables” sin ayuda y sin compromiso por parte de los mismos de solucionar el problema.
Cuando decimos COMPROMISO nos referimos que si nosotros ayudamos recogiendo camadas indeseadas, ellos castren al padre/madre, o que en caso de no poder atender al animal debidamente nos ayuden económicamente con los gastos de residencia y/o veterinarios hasta su adopción o hagan trabajos voluntarios para mejorar nuestras instalaciones o incluso compren materiales necesarios para la construcción de cheniles…
Es una vergüenza que haya gente que nos amenace con ahogar, tirar al contenedor o abandonar en la autovía a los animales si no los recogemos, así que nos vemos obligados a tomar medidas legales sobre esta situación.
SOLO PEDIMOS UN INTERCAMBIO DE AYUDAS.
No hay nada que deseáramos más que poder atender y dar un buen hogar a todos y cada uno de los animales que nos llegan pero hoy por hoy falta aún mucha conciencia y nos es totalmente imposible abordar todos los casos.
Esperamos que entiendan nuestra situación y que pronto seamos más en esta lucha.

Basically, an animal protection group has a clear and simple objective: that is to respect the dignity of an animal. We are a no benefit animal charity and our objective is the protection and defence of the animals.
In APA Nerja - Estacion Esperanza our main objective is 0 Killing / sacrifice of animals in our town. This we have been acheiving thanks to the hard work of our members and volunteers.
WE CONCENTRATE in rescuing animals from the POUND AND STREETS, and because of this we cannot attend cases of dogs who already have owners. There are special cases for example evictions or Noe syndrome where we will help where we can.
At this current moment we are in a situation where we have no economical support, or space to take on animals which come from "irresponsable owners", without help and compromise from their behalf to solve this problem.
When we say COMPROMISE we refer to, if we help you with unwanted litters, you must castrate the mother/father. In the case of you not being able to look after the animal, then you can help economically with the expenses to pay for a dog hotel and / or vets bills until they are adopted. If you are not able to pay you can contribute towards helping us work in our shelter or help with materials to build kennels..
It is embarrassing that people threaten to drown, or throw their dogs in the bin, or abandon them on the side of the road if we dont agree to take them in. If this happens we will take legal measures against this situation.
ALL WE ASK FOR IN EXCHANGE IS HELP!
We would love nothing more than to be able to help every case, and find them all good homes. But people need to learn, and learn there are ways to prevent unwanted litters and abandoned dogs. It is totally impossible for us to help them all.

Somos unos voluntarios de Nerja que hemos creado este grupo, sin ánimo de lucro, para ayudar a los animales de nuestra zona. Rescatamos, esterilizamos, vacunamos, damos asistencia veterinaria y buscamos hogar a los perritos y gatitos que se encuentran en estado de abandono o de maltrato.
Con frecuencia organizamos rifas y eventos para recaudar dinero.
Buscamos gente que nos ayude activa o pasivamente... (casas de acogida, difusiones, donaciones, comida...)

We are a group of volunteers in Nerja who have created this group, we are not looking to make money from saving the animals in our area. We save, we castrate, we vaccinate, we give vetinary help, and we find homes for our cats and dogs who are abandoned and ill treated. We often organize raffles and events to help us make money for this cause.
We need people to help us, share cases, foster, donate with money or food, or just spread the word.
