Marbella Cosmetic High Care Clinic, located in the heart of Nueva Andalucía, will be operating from the same premises as Marbella-Medical- and-Dental.com, regarded by expats and residents as one of the finest fully licensed Clinics for Primary Medical, Surgical, Dental and Ophthalmology care on the Costa del Sol. After expanding with a brand new venture “Marbella Cosmetic” will be offering ‘the very best’ 360 degree, cosmetic care.
Dr. Ernest Guillem M.B.B.S. (Lond.) founder of Guilmaros S. L., trading as “Marbella-Medical-and-Dental.com”, since 2006, has introduced this innovative cosmetic care concept to the Costa del Sol, with his business partner and co-founder Jan Barnes.
Dr. Guillem elaborates, “For the last thirty nine years, I have not only been involved in primary health care, but also in hospital in-patient care. During this time, I have had the co-operation of Dr. Marruenda, who specialises in ophthalmological services and Dr. Karl Rosenvold, who undertakes all dental services. “In 2006, I included in my list of services, aesthetic medicine in the form of hyluronic Acid facial enhancement fillers, botulinium injections and Lipo Laser treatments and I have been carrying these out uninterrupted for the last eight years .”
Following a visit to London, Marbella Cosmetic High Care has decided to extend the clinics aesthetic services. “We exclusively secured the latest sophisticated imported machines, providing Fractional RF Skin Treatment, IPL Skin Rejuvenation, Melanin and pigmentation spot removal, Lumecca Intense Pulse Light Treatment for thread veins, acne scars, Diolaze Laser Hair Removal, and The Body Tite, Neck Tite, Face Tite, and Cellutite Radio Frequency assisted Liposuction, all produced from the ‘Inmode’ platform. Our other surgical services comprise, non-Invasive Procedures, including Face massage and Rehydration, as well as a comprehensive menu of other beauty treatments, to minimally Invasive Treatments; Botulinium ´ A´ Treatment, Fillers, Lip Enhancement, Hyperhidrosi.

Surgical Invasive In-Hospital treatments include Varicose Veins Surgery, Breast reduction, Breast enlargement, Rhinoplasty, Blepharoplasty upper & Lower, Tummy Tuck, Gluteal Enhancement and Surgical Face Lift is also on the treatment list.” Jan Barnes continues, “This is another aspect that sets us apart from many others here; is a working agreement with a renowned clinic-The High Care International Hospital, where Marbella Cosmetic High Care Clinic’s Italian plastic surgeon, Dr. Pietro de Mauro, performs in-patient plastic surgery. It is now all integrated.”
The partnership between Dr. Guillem and Jan Barnes has been developed recently, Says Dr. Guillem, “She knew many people in Harley Street and was happy to introduce me to them, so that I could discover the latest treatments available on the market. We went on to discuss what structure we could give to this new concept and multi-treatment service. We came up with a formula and that is how our partnership was born.”
At this point Jan Barnes was introduced to the business as a key investor and became an important asset to the company. Previously Jan had a London based career in fashion and started her own company with TV programmes on the shopping channel - QVC. 9 years ago, she decided to retire here in Spain. This was not to be after meeting Dr. Guillem. Jan says, “He became my friends’ doctor, as she was very sick. I watched the care and attention that he gave to her. At that stage I knew I had found a proper Doctor, who truly cared. He discussed some of the innovative cosmetic treatments he was introducing to the Costa del Sol and I decided to try some fillers and Botox myself. I was extremely happy with the results. I decided to come out of retirement and explored the competition locally, realising very quickly that I wanted to invest in expanding the clinic. We have not looked back”.
