I trained with Sports Therapy UK at the University of Bedfordshire where I was credited with Level 4 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy, endorsed by Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT) I am also a member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA)

Sports Massage or Deep Tissue Massage is a ¨Hands On¨ manual therapy aimed at improving the condition and function of muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia of the body. It is not exclusively for people engaging in sport and will also benefit people of all ages and varying levels of activity.

Sports massage is not necessarily a painful treatment and should be a stimulating and invigorating experience. I like to work within the boundaries of what I refer to as "Delicious Discomfort" meaning the treatment will be adapted to the limits of your comfort range.

Treatments will consist of an initial consultation along with a full postural assessment before deciding on the best treatment plan for you. The main aims and benefits are to relieve pain, reduce tension, increase mobility as well as aiding in recovery and improving sporting performance. Various massage techniques will be used in order to warm and prepare the soft tissues and more advanced techniques may be applied to target more specific areas. Advice can then be offered on stretching and exercise to further enhance the benefits of the treatments.

In addition to Sports Massage we can also offer Osteopath treatments at the clinic with UK registered Osteopath Jamie Last. Jamie trained at the British School of Osteopathy in London and has over 20 years experience. He is a member of the General Osteopathic Council (GOC) and the Osteopathic Sports Care Association (OSCA) and worked for 12 years as one of only 3 Osteopaths directly employed by BUPA.
