Chiringuito El Juncal

Un tal día como hoy, un 11 de Febrero de 1949, nació Robustiano Díaz Mateo. Nació en la Serranía de Ronda, en un pueblo llamado Pujerra. Más tarde, se trasladó a Júzcar (Ronda), pueblo en el que se crió. Tras trabajar en lo que había, a la edad de los 13 años, se embarcó en la aventura de viajar sólo a Madrid, ciudad en la cual trabajó en un bar familiar llamado ``Costa Sol´´, situado en el barrio de San Blás. Posteriormente, y pese a su juventud (16 años), decidió introducirse de lleno en el mundo de la hostelería. Después de realizar el servicio militar, se lanza más de lleno y, en 1972, marcha a Fuengirola (Málaga) conociendo la cocina y demás secretos de la profesión. Adquirió más experiencia, trabajando como camarero en una cafetería- restaurante en Calipso (Mijas Costa). Tras esa ligera aventura, decide abrir su propio chiringuito en Mijas Costa, el cual llamaría ''Merendero El Juncal'', en el que, a día de hoy, aún conserva y trabaja. El nombre ''El Juncal'' es debido a la única urbanización que había por aquel entonces y que hoy en nuestros días aún continua. Más tarde, en 1984, y coincidiendo con el nacimiento de su segundo hijo, decide abrir su segundo restaurante, que recibió el nombre de ''Restaurante Daniel'' debido al nombre de su primer hijo. Bar- Restaurante Daniel cerró sus puertas en el año 1995, debido a la incompatibilidad y a la difícil tarea de llevar a cabo la actividad en ambos negocios.
